Dr. Kenote presents a sacred classical concert in collaboration with the Nyack Flute Ensemble, pianist Dr. Tammy Lum, and storyteller Carol Ann Freeman.  Music by J.S. Bach, Bartok, Kodaly and Gianni.

Alumni Piano Extravaganza

The Annual Homecoming Concert will feature faculty, students, alumni, and friends in works for solo piano as well as ensembles for four, eight, and twelve hands!

John Patitucci, the legendary bassist extraordinaire and Grammy Award winner, performs classical and jazz selections with pianists, Dr. Tammy Lum and John Cowherd.

Lecture by Rosanne Martorella, Ph.D. author & sociologist
Artists Van Gogh, Cézanne, Matisse, and Picasso were inspired by the cultural network and beauty of the south of France, especially the Côte d’Azur.

Fall String Orchestra Concert

Prof. Sungrai Sohn, director
The Nyack String Orchestra & the Sarah Lawrence String Orchestra together perform Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nacht Music and other selections by Bridge and Dvorak.

Fall Wind Ensemble & Handbell Concert

Dr. Glenn Koponen & Ms. Jennifer Scott, directors
Established in 1968, the Wind Ensemble is comprised of students, faculty, and community musicians performing works for concert band under the direction of Dr. Glenn Koponen. Selections by the Nyack Handbell Choir, directed by Jennifer Scott, will also be performed.

Carol & Candlelight 2010

Dr. Glenn Koponen & Ms. Jennifer Scott, directors
Christmas carols and seasonal music featuring the Nyack College Women’s Chorale, Handbell Choir, and Brass Ensemble. Concludes with the deeply moving candlelight service, a tradition since 1948.
A freewill offering will be received to benefit the Carol & Candlelight Tours.

Handel’s Messiah

Prof. Joel Jameson, director
The Nyack College Chorale accompanied by chamber orchestra, harpsichord and organ performs Handel’s Messiah featuring soloists: Shelley Jameson, soprano; Ashley Maynard Allen, mezzo-soprano; Brian Ernstes, tenor; James Courtney, bass.

A freewill offering will be received to benefit the Nyack College Chorale.
