On Wednesday, May 18, the National Puerto Rican Day Parade (NPRDP), Inc. sponsored the 2005 Educational Leadership Project Annual Awards Banquet at Marina Del Rey in Throgs Neck, NY. One of the ten honorees was Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary president, Dr. David Schroeder.

 

The NPRDP Education and Scholarship Committee nominated Dr. Schroeder for his dedicated efforts as a progressive leader and for being a visionary educator and administrator. In addition to the Leadership Project honor, Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr. presented Dr. Schroeder with an official government certificate of merit for his contributions to higher education and in particular to the Latino community in New York City.
