In light of today's terrorist attack in Jerusalem, the following is an update regarding the safety of Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary faculty and students.

Global Service-Learning Director Dr. Scott Reitz (above) has confirmed that the two Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary teams in Israel with Dr. Steven Notley and Dr. Bryan Widbin are travelling away from Jerusalem and are safe.

“Dr. Notley and Dr. Jeff Garcia are with their students in Galilee, while Dr. Widbin is with his students in Arad. Both of these locations are at least 2.5 hours from Jerusalem,” reports Dr. Reitz. He adds, “Our faculty have decades of experience in Israel with well-established connections who monitor security concerns in the region. The safety of our students and faculty is our paramount concern. At this point, our class itineraries will remain the same."

Thank you for your concern and for your prayers for all of our international courses traveling this month.
