Ms. Dolfe Emylyn Corvette, 83, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Corvette of Savannah, Ga., went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006.
Dolfe was a graduate of Nyack College with a diploma in Sacred Music; Georgia Southern College with a B.S. in Music Education; and Georgia Teachers College with a B.S. in Education. She taught English for eight years in Savannah, GA., 19 years in DeKalb County in Atlanta, GA and two years at Episcopal Day School in Gadsden. Ms. Corvette served as a Women's Naval Reservist from 1952-1956. She retired from the DeKalb Board of Education of Atlanta in June 1986 and moved to Gadsden.
Dolfe is survived by her brother, Clifford T. Corvette, Savannah, GA; nieces, Mrs. Pam Duncan, Gadsden, Mrs. Sally Beales-Neasbitt and Jeanne Beales, Fort Worth, TX, Mrs. Carol Cook, Savannah, and Mrs. Judy Hair, Atlanta; nephews, Gary and George Montgomery, Savannah, GA; grandnieces, Mrs. Melanie Hogue, Woodstock, GA, and Joyce Fender, Amarillo, TX; and grandnephew, Scotty Neasbitt, Torrington, CT.
A memorial service was held at Parkway Community Church of Gadsen,GA on Sunday, Dec. 31 at 1:30 p.m., where Ms. Corvette was a member.
