General Information

Mission Statement: To honor the Lord by providing a safe, clean, and beautiful environment for students to learn and faculty and staff to work.

The Facilities Department is responsible for providing the campus with custodial, grounds, maintenance, and campus safety services.

  • Custodial: The Custodial Department maintains the cleanliness of the campus through daily cleaning of public places, classrooms, and offices, and routine cleaning of residence hall restrooms (when not occupied).
  • Maintenance: The Maintenance Department maintains physical buildings on campus through routine maintenance in the heating/cooling systems, telephone systems, carpentry, plumbing, and miscellaneous maintenance issues.  Maintenance problems in the residence halls need to be reported directly and immediately to the Residence Life Staff.  Your Residence Life Staff will explain how this is done in your Residence Hall during the All Hall Meeting at the beginning of the year.
  • Campus Safety: Campus Safety Officers are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Their primary responsibility is to patrol and maintain the safety and security of the campus.  Safety Officers are Facilities’ first responders and should be called in the event of any emergency.  In the case of a life or death situation, 911 should be called first.  Campus Safety is also responsible for maintaining parking safety on campus and issues parking violations to individuals not following the college parking policy.
